Open WebMail 1.71 20020917

  • Open WebMail adds webmail functionality to your Sun Cobalt appliance
  • After installation every site has its own webmail interface, accessible through http:<sitename>/openwebmail and http:<sitename>/webmail if this alias is not yet used

  • Changes from Neomail:

  • You can customize the look and feel by modifying /home/openwebmail/cgi-bin/openwebmail/etc/openwebmail.conf. This file will never be overwritten by any future updates.
  • Please note that because of the extended functionality Open WebMail will use more system resources than Neomail. If you have limited system resources or a lot of users, we advise you to use Neomail instead.
  • Uses Open Webmail release from September 17, 2002
  • Due to the changes (improvements) to the latest releases from Open WebMail there will no more Open WebMail updates for MIPS based products (qube 2, raq 1 and raq 2)

ISDN 2.3
  • The Qube 2 ISDN package will enable you to connect your Qube 2 to ISPs using an internal ISDN PCI card
  • Cards supported are:
    • AVM B1 (Fritz)
    • All Hisax PCI cards that fit into the Qube
  • Please note that we have only tried and verified correct working with Elsa Microlink/Quickstep 1000 PCI cards
  • Please be advised that the 'dial on demand' functionality of the ISDN package could, in some cases, initiate unwanted dialouts to your ISP.
  • As future kernel updates might break the ISDN functionality, please check this site for an updated version for the new kernel before installing the kernel.
